Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are doing their best to avoid the salacious headlines from last summer as they exited their marriages in a less-than-ideal way. They are taking a much different approach in letting their fans know they are serious about each other with a measured couple’s debut.
The 30-year-old singer has already been spotted in the audience of Slater’s Broadway show, Spamalot, on the first night of previews. As it turns out, she’s a regular fixture behind the scenes, thanks to Andrew Rannells‘ curated snapshots of his and Josh Gad’s visit to the show. Rannells waited until the third image in the carousel to share the big reveal, but the payoff was worth it. There was Grande backstage after Spamalot‘s performance. (See the photo HERE.)
Her Instagram official photo was a strategic move because Rannells was carefully placed between Grande and Slater. It’s a tease, but it shows how comfortable they are starting to become as a couple in the spotlight. Rannells was also thoughtful about his caption, giving just the right hint of information. He wrote, “We had some big fun in Schlimmer yesterday! Spamalot’s Ethan Slater AND Michael Urie! Two great guys to eat dreams with. Plus Ariana Grande! It was a perfect Sunday. Go see Spamalot!”
Fans should keep their eyes open on Thursday, Nov. 16 because that is the official opening night for Slater’s Broadway show. Grande is most likely going to be there, so will they decide to pose on the red carpet together? It could be a big moment for them both, but there may be hesitations since Slater’s divorce from estranged wife Lilly Jay hasn’t been settled yet. Fans will find out just how ready they are to commit to the full-time Hollywood couples’ scene.
