On the same day that Matt LeBlanc opened up about the loss of his Friends co-star, Matthew Perry, another cast member shared their thoughts on Instagram. Courteney Cox broke her silence after the cast’s joint statement in October and gave a loving tribute on her personal Instagram page to Perry.

Cox posted a clip of a very iconic Monica and Chandler scene from Season 4, Episode 24: “The One With Ross’ Wedding.” Ross, played by David Schwimmer, enters Chandler’s hotel room in London screaming, “I’m getting married today,” along with the reveal that Monica was buried under the covers with her brother’s BFF. She also included a hilarious outtake after the scene was filmed that showed just how adorable and playful their friendship was.

In the caption, Cox collected her thoughts and talked about how “grateful” she was to have “Matty” in her life. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here’s one of my favorites,” she wrote. “To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story.”

She also added context to the outtake that was included in her video post, noting, “In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. 🤍🕊️.” The cast is obviously reeling from the news about Perry’s death and are taking their time to honor him when they are ready. It’s a loss that is deeply felt because there were only six major cast members and six people who experienced the ride of a lifetime together.
