Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are happily engaged after two years of dating, but it appears that one close family member isn’t exactly thrilled about the upcoming walk down the aisle. The couple will definitely want this person’s blessing before they do get married, but right now, it sounds like they are having a tough time convincing their loved one that their romance is for real.
Zoë’s father, rocker musician Lenny Kravitz, is reportedly worried about the scrutiny his 34-year-old daughter will endure being married to an A-list star. “Marrying one of the most famous actors in the world is going to increase that pressure times 1000,” a source told the National Enquirer, via RadarOnline. “Lenny likes Channing just fine — but he tells Zoë they should just continue shacking up rather than her jumping into another marriage.”
Zoë’s relationship with Tatum came just months after she split with her first husband, Karl Glusman, after 18 months of marriage. Tatum divorced Jenna Dewan in 2018 after nine years of marriage and one daughter, Everly, 10. The couple was first spotted together in August 2021 after working together on Zoë’s directorial debut, Pussy Island. Despite their off-the-radar approach to their romance, the dynamic duo has been one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples over the last few years. Now, the High Fidelity actress is trying hard to convince her protective dad that she’s ready to “settle down and have children” with Tatum.
“As far as being in the spotlight, she’s learned how to deal,” the source continued. “She knows her father wants the best for her, but she has to follow her heart — and that’s to Channing.” Lenny sounds like a good dad trying to make sure his daughter is ready for a big commitment this time around, but he also has to let Zoë go — it’s her decision to make.
