It seems as though while the British Royal family won’t publicly state their alleged discontent for Meghan Markle, author Omid Scobie claims that they will “quietly” thank those who publicly take jabs at her, including Meghan and Prince Harry’s enemy Piers Morgan.
According to Scobie’s upcoming book Endgame, Queen Camilla allegedly sent a message of gratitude to Morgan for “defending the Firm.”In fact, a palace aide reportedly told Scobie that Camilla was full of “gratitude” that “somebody was standing up” to Meghan’s bombshell claims, per UsMagazine.
Now, what comment did Camilla allegedly thank Morgan for? For the “Pinocchio Princess” fiasco. Back in 2021, Morgan said on Good Morning Britain that he “wouldn’t believe [Meghan] if she read me a weather report,” and went on to insinuate she’s a “Pinocchio Princess.” Since then, he’s taken numerous jabs at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, even after he left Good Morning Britain.
Morgan has had quite a few opinions about the British Royal family over the years. Not only has he taken jabs at Meghan, Harry, and even the late Princess Diana, but he’s shown support for King Charles III and Camilla over the years, per the List. Along with that, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were previously seen out at a pub together with Morgan. So, his relationship with the royals is as confusing as one may think.
For those who don’t know, Scobie’s book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival will be released on Nov 28. It follows the royals after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and how a modernizing world may be what makes or break them.
