When celebrities go under transformations for a role, that’s where movie magic happens. No, we’re not talking about the times celebrities would fluctuate in weight for a role, putting their health at risk. We’re talking about when they change their look, hair, and clothes to emulate a character. We’ve seen it time and time again, when celebrities transform into famous figures, and now we’re seeing it again with a beloved actor who transformed themselves into former US President Donald Trump.
In photos obtained by Page Six, we can see Sebastian Stan fully transformed into Trump for the upcoming project entitled The Apprentice, which is a biopic that’ll follow how Trump became a real estate and business mogul in the 1970s and 1980s.
And let’s just say when the internet saw these photos, it nearly exploded.
When you go on X, the app officially formerly known as Twitter, you’ll see people reacting to Stan’s transformation. While many are horrified at the prospect of this universal celebrity crush set to play a controversial political figure like Trump.
But the overwhelming amount of the internet users’ responses were the same: this transformation is insane. One post shared one of the Page Six photos with the caption reading, “Holy f**k Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump hahahahahahaha it’s incredible it’s so good.”
One X user said they believe Stan will excel at that role, saying, “I feel like sebastian stan is gonna eat that role,” and another user added that the transformation is insane, saying, “He looks unrecognizable.”
Now this isn’t the first time Stan has played in a biopic (cough cough, Pam and Tommy), and we’re sure it won’t be the last.
For those wondering, along with Stan, actress Maria Bakalova will play Ivana Trump and Jeremy Strong will play Roy Cohn, all of which will be directed by Ali Abbasi, who’s directed projects like Holy Spider and Shelley.
