Ever since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their divorce in 2016, it’s been as contentious as can be. And as their kids have grown up, it’s been rather obvious they have taken their mother’s side in the heated battle. It became evident that they adore their mother, especially when Zahara dropped the “Pitt” from her last name “Jolie-Pitt” during her sorority induction, and when Pax’s explosive rant about Pitt’s fatherhood skills came to light. But now, it seems another Jolie-Pitt kid is really to tell their story, and shed more light on how Pitt is as a father.
An insider told OK that their son Maddox Jolie-Pitt is reportedly in talks with publishing houses about releasing a memoir all about his complex relationship with Pitt.
“Titled ‘Daddy Dearest,’ the book is said to delve into the complexities of their relationship, offering a firsthand account of the highs and lows, triumphs and tribulations,” they said. “It will offer readers a unique perspective into the private life of one of Hollywood’s most iconic figures, making the bombshell book Joan Crawford’s daughter wrote about her look like Mary Poppins.”
For those wondering what Maddox has been up to, he’s worked behind the scenes on multiple pictures (including his mother’s upcoming project Without Blood, where he and Pax will work as assistant directors, per SCMP). He studied biochemistry at Yonsei University, and in 2021, he testified against his father in court. Along with that, he also wanted “Pitt” dropped from his name, like his sister Zahara.
The Salt star and Pitt welcomed and adopted six children total named Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15. While all of the kids seem super close with Angelina, most of them don’t seem like they’ve been in contact with Brad much since his and Jolie’s divorce.
