Ivanka Trump has spent the last few years distancing herself from Donald Trump‘s White House administration, where she worked as a senior adviser. She’s no longer part of his political inner circle, but the former president’s legal woes keep pulling her back into his web. Yet the former socialite might be sending a message to her dad through her recent wardrobe choices that she’s ready to cut the cord on being a part of his spotlight.
Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror that some of Ivanka’s recent outfit decisions, including one she called “Rodeo Barbie cosplay,” indicate that the former first daughter is ready “to switch to reveal a less high status, less high-power side” of her life. Fans who follow her social media pages have seen the more playful side of her life as she wiped out on a wave simulator and introduced the family’s new puppy.
James added, “There is something rather sweet about the way that Ivanka is shucking off her time as a political heavyweight and consequent courtroom witness to emerge in several completely contradictory cosplay roles that even included a surfer girl clad in a swimming costume.” And she’s also exploring her sexier side with her recent style choice of a chic black mini dress and a bold red lip. Describing it as her “Rock chick” look, the expert noted that it’s “about as far away from the look she presented on the world stage as she rubbed shoulders with global leaders during her father’s time in the White House.”
It seems that Ivanka is telling the world she’s done with her father’s politics for good. “As a clue to the universe about any return to politics or even a clue to her father’s return to politics, it does seem to look that she is putting as much time and space between herself and that era as possible here,” she says. Ivanka is ready for her next chapter, and it doesn’t involve a trip to the White House again.
