Taylor Swift‘s 34th birthday is on Dec. 13, and someone is hoping to make it a very special day for her. Boyfriend Travis Kelce, who just so happens to be the tight end on the Kansas City Chiefs, reportedly has some big plans in mind — and no, it doesn’t seem to be an engagement, despite the internet rumors.
A source revealed to Us Weekly that the NFL star “wants to throw the best party possible” and that’s why he made the decision to hold the festivities in New York City instead of Kansas City, where they are both currently residing. The affair sounds like it is going to be quite spectacular since “money is not an object” and Kelce wanted to make sure Swift’s “close friends” were in attendance.
While the invite list hasn’t been revealed, it’s pretty easy to speculate that this will be an A-list affair filled with some of the “Blank Space” singer’s famous besties. Swift has brought quite a few celebs to Kelce’s games, including Hugh Jackman, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, and Sabrina Carpenter. It would also be reasonable to expect Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez to join in on the fun as well as Swift’s favorite NFL wife, Brittany Mahomes. And since Manhattan is just a short trip from Philadelphia, perhaps Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, will be there — that Kelce clan is close.
Swift and Kelce turned up the heat quickly on their romance after a friend (maybe Jason Sudeikis?) brought them together. The dynamic duo has not shied away from their relationship one bit, even though the glare of the spotlight is hot. When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told Time magazine. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.” It’s going to be a birthday to remember!
