Prince William Was Left Crying With Laughter During This Royal Outing & His Fans Are Thrilled

Whether it’s from watching the royals at major events, reading tell-alls about the British royal family or simply watching The Crown, we all feel like we know what being a royal might look like—polite small talk, a multitude of helpers to assist their every move, important high-pressure meetings, massive centuries-old homes, etc.

And while those quintessential royal things may still be true, we all sigh a breath of relief when we see royals step out of their picture-perfect exteriors. Most recently, Prince William did just that while he attended the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Nov. 30 alongside his wife, Kate Middleton.

In one clip of the Prince of Wales on Instagram, for example, the royal is seen crying with laughter while watching the stand-up comedy routine by British comedian Tom Allen. In the video, Allen is seen joking about the “I’m not a robot” buttons we see on websites to prove we’re human. Luckily for Allen, the jokes appeared to hit William’s funny bone and he was seen cackling and wiping away his tears.

In the comments of the video, royal fans rejoiced in seeing the future King let loose and have fun. “Just brilliant that he can let himself go like that,” one user commented. “So glad Prince William can laugh like that!❤️❤️” echoed another.

Also in the comments are users saying they love William’s carefree attitude, especially with everything he has been through recently. In fact, this was the couple’s first appearance since Omid Scobie’s book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival revealed the two family members -Middleton and King Charles– who are the alleged “royal racists.” “It’s great to see him laughing so much! He’s had a few tough years,” wrote one user.

Indeed, whether his laughter was a natural reaction or a way to show how good he’s feeling despite it all, we’re just glad he’s doing okay.
