While fans are just being introduced to Tom Cruise‘s new relationship with Elsina Khayrova, things behind the scenes might be going a little faster. The duo has reportedly been dating much longer than their recent public debut which has given the 61-year-old actor time to bring her into his very private inner circle.
Cruise and Khayrova are “very happy,” according to an Us Weekly source, who also noted that “Tom’s extremely confident about it working out for the long term.” The Top Gun star felt so good about his blossoming romance with his new love that he introduced her to two very important people in his life early on: his adult children, Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman.
His eldest kids very quickly gave the Russian socialite their crucial stamp of approval. The insider shared that Cruise’s kids “think Elsina is great and are so happy to see that their dad has love in his life again.” It’s been quite a while since the global superstar took one of his romances public, even though he was rumored to be dating his Mission Impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell, from 2020 until 2022. Fans would have to go back to his much-discussed marriage with Katie Holmes, which lasted from 2005 until 2012, and produced their daughter, Suri, 17, to really see him open up about a relationship.
The source explained the reason why Cruise has been cautious in the years after his headline-heavy divorce from Holmes. “He wanted to take his time and not rush into any relationships just for the sake of it,” they claimed. While Cruise’s kids gave their blessing, Tsetkov aired his grievances about his ex to the Daily Mail, along with a warning to the actor. “Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste. Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open,” he cautioned while swearing he “wishes [Khayrova] all the best.” This could be the start of a very fascinating new chapter for Cruise!
