New Bridgerton Season 3 Photos Reveal This Fan-Favorite Couple Is Back

We’ve been patiently waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for any crumb of news on the forthcoming season of Bridgerton and now we finally have some to talk about. Season 3 of the Netflix hit, adapted from the novels by Julia Quinn, will debut on the streaming service in May 2024. While the new season is all about Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) there’s one fan-favorite couple who will also make their triumphant return to the small screen.

Unfurl your fans because Season 3 of Bridgerton is about to heat up thanks to a new image from the series. Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) are back and better than ever. Last season, audiences watched as these two yearned for one another from across ballrooms, gardens, and more. The season ended with the two finally admitting their passionate love for one another, and now we’ll get to see them all loved up and married in Season 3.

By the looks of one of the recently released stills from Season 3 of Bridgerton, Kate and Anthony are just as in love as ever. The image features actors Ashley and Bailey embracing one another and staring into each other’s eyes. You really can’t get more in-love than that, right? Well, not if Coughlan’s Penelope and Newton’s Colin have anything to say about it.

Season 3 of Bridgerton is all about Penelope and Colin. When we left the two, their love was still unrequited — and pretty one-sided. Penelope’s been in love with Colin since, well, the first season of Bridgerton. And while Colin’s interest previously wandered elsewhere, this will surely be the season when the two finally get together, though the journey there will be full of drama, we’re sure.

But it’s a very pleasant surprise to see Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey return for yet another season of the Netflix drama. Following Season 1, Bridgerton breakout Regé-Jean Page, who portrayed the Duke of Hastings, opted not to return to the series for the second season. Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton in Seasons 1 and 2, will not return for the third installment of the series, either. But fans still have Kate and Anthony’s steadfast love to look forward to, along with even more love matches and stories ahead when Part 1 of Bridgerton‘s third season arrives on May 16, 2024.
