A Christmas and a Valentine’s Day engagement was floated out there, but the couple decided to pass on that idea because “they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity.” They probably didn’t want the input or criticism from people who would go on an “it’s too soon” rant.
A Swiftie insider seems to have the scoop on the exact timeline, divulging, “Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan. They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.” While fans didn’t become aware of the couple’s existence until late August, Swift and Kelce did a great job of hiding their romance from the world until they were ready to go public.
Their first date happened just after Kelce tried to shoot his shot and failed with the 34-year-old singer at her Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in July. A mystery pal connected them shortly after the athlete’s romantic attempt. “We started hanging out right after that,” Swift told Time. “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.
