How To Watch the 2024 Critics Choice Awards Online & on TV

With the first awards show of the year under our belt, the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, we’re more excited than ever to have the awards show season in full swing. Luckily, the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, hosted once again by the hilariously talentedChelsea Handler, is set to air on Sunday, Jan. 14.

If you’re planning to tune in, here’s everything you need to know!

Where to Watch the Critics Choice Awards Live Show

The ceremony will broadcast live from Los Angeles on the CW and its local affiliates starting at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET.

In case you don’t have cable, you can also tune into the show through many live TV streaming platforms including DirecTV Stream and Hulu + Live TV.

Where to Watch the Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet

Prior to the stars of the awards, Los Angeles’ CW affiliate, KTLA-5, will also host a red carpet show beginning at 2 p.m. PT/ 5 p.m. ET, per Deadline. Last year, the red carpet coverage was also livestreamed on the Critics Choice Awards’ official YouTube channel.

What to Expect From the Show

In addition to having Handler as the host, fans can expect some big wins and big names taking the stage. Among the nominees for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, for example, are Cillian Murphy for Oppenheimer, Leonardo DiCaprio for Killers of the Flower Moon and Bradley Cooper for Maestro. In the Best Actress category, Lily Gladstone from Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie‘s Margot Robbie and Emma Stone for Poor Things are all in the running.

As for Best Picture nominations, the nominees are American Fiction, Barbie, The Color Purple, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and Saltburn. Barbie leads the nominations for film with a record-breaking 18 nods.

In the TV categories, some big names include Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Snook in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category as well as Jeremy Allen White, Bill Hader and Steve Martin for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. The Morning Show leads the TV nominations with six nods including competing nods for both Aniston and Witherspoon.

Will There Be Any Special Honors?

In addition to all the regular movie and TV awards, this year will also award Harrison Ford with the Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented by his Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold.

Another special award, the SeeHer Award, will be given to America Ferrera and presented by her Barbie co-star Margot Robbie.
