Gisele Bündchen Seemingly Puts an End to Dating Rumors With Details on This Recent Lifestyle Change

When a celebrity as big as Gisele Bündchengoes through a divorce, especially one after a long marriage, fans can’t help but wonder what their new phase will look like. Will they start dating again? Will they date another celebrity? And while the Brazilian supermodel has left many of these questions unanswered since their October 2022 split, a recent interview of hers is clearing the air about her latest dating rumors.

Since ending her relationship with ex Tom Brady, Bündchen has been photographed many times with Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. And, of course, dating rumors of them being together have been buzzing ever since.

In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR for their February 2024 Joy Issue, however, Bündchen talked about Valente more as a teacher than anything else. “Here I think, ‘Oh, I’m going to just learn self-defense because I want to make sure my kids can protect themselves when they’re out in the world,’ but then I learned with the brothers [Joaquim, Pedro, and Gui Valente] the philosophy and the lifestyle, the whole value system, which was amazing,” she told the magazine.

Overall, it seems like Bündchen fully embraced the jiu-jitsu lifestyle. “It was almost everything I lived in my life, the way I believed in courage and honesty and all the things I found to be important in my value system and have been guiding me in my life,” she continued. “They were never organized, and now they have a container.”

And, in addition to becoming a recent jiu-jitsu master, the model, who showed off her mile-long legs and contagious smile in the shoot, is learning to not give much thought to ongoing rumors.

“I can’t really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business,” Bündchen said, referring to all the speculation about her private life. “It’s really their business that they’re trying to project onto me. If I’m going to be affected by that, I’m never going to live my truth.”

Bündchen then went on to remember a quote from a late friend of hers that she holds close to her heart. “He said to me, ‘Gisele, when the blame or the praise of millions of people doesn’t faze you, then you are free,'” she remembered. “When you’re trying to be this person who tries to please and tries to be accepted and tries to get that from the outside world, you’re never going to be truly who you are.” Cheers to that!
