Ever since Meghan Markle left the royal family, alongside her husband, Prince Harry, back in early 2020, people have wondered what Meghan would do for her A-list comeback. Many thought she’d go into politics or the wellness world, while many others have theorized that she’d return to acting. The acting theory gained a lot of traction when it was announced that the hit show Suits, where she starred for numerous seasons, was getting a reboot. And insiders told Express that Meghan will allegedly be returning to Suits, but not in the way many thought.
Meghan has reportedly been offered to make her comeback by directing “at least one episode” of the spinoff. A senior production source claimed they have been in talks with Meghan and her team at WME for some time now, and this deal is reportedly “shaping up to be one of the biggest TV deals of the year.”
“Meghan is in a commanding position. They want to expand a successful franchise in which she has a ready-made fan base of millions worldwide. They want her back, and they are prepared to pay what it takes to get her,” the insider said, adding that the official announcement could come as early as Feb 2024.
Along with that, insiders said this role was “tailor-made” for her, and has become a “dream role.” So we may be seeing Meghan in the director’s chair for the spin-off?! We can’t wait for the official announcements to come out.
Despite missing the Suits reunion at the 2024 Golden Globes, her former co-star Patrick J. Adams hinted at her return, saying, “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They gotta come down to LA; they gotta fix some stuff.”
