Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s surprise trip to Jamaica last week in support of the film, Bob Marley: One Love, has a lot of people talking. While the British tabloids are busy trying to turn it into a scandal like they always do, royal fans should look at the clues that the Sussexes might be working on a new Hollywood deal.

Harry and Meghan were invited to the red-carpet premiere as guests of Paramount Pictures, according to The Sun. They traveled on a private jet with other studio executives, including president and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, Brian Robbins, whom they snapped a picture with at the event. They also stayed at the same hotel, so it’s possible that some Hollywood chatter may have happened.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s presence at the premiere drew eyeballs to the film, and that might have been Paramount’s first test to see if they would go into business with them. Their Netflix deal is reportedly set to expire in 2025 and there could be a bidding war over their services, depending on how well their upcoming scripted projectMeet Me at the Lake, is received.

Now that Meghan is represented by William Morris Endeavor, one of the top agencies in the entertainment industry, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the couple mingling with other high-powered executives in the near future. The agency could easily facilitate these introductions because, despite the narrative the U.K. media is peddling, Harry and Meghan are a draw here in the U.S.

While the Sussexes are looking at 2024 as their “year of redemption” after a few setbacks in 2023, their popularity has not waned. “Harry and Meghan are in extremely high demand,” a source told Us Weekly. Another insider added that Meghan’s team has been “shocked by how popular she is” and they’ve “never seen anything like it.” So, don’t ever count out the Sussexes because they still have a whole world of supporters.
