The Super Bowl-bound athlete spilled the tea on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, sharing that the couple had been hanging out “for close to a month” ahead of the first game she attended at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24, 2023. It gave Swifties a better look at their dating timeline, but the real news was the big test Kelce gave her at the beginning of their relationship — he invited her to come watch him play.
The 34-year-old football star “threw the ball in her court” and invited her to the fall matchup against the Chicago Bears. Not only did her attendance show that she was more than interested in Kelce, but it was also telling the world that they were involved with each other. It was a big sign that things were going well between them — even with only 30 or so days on their romantic calendar. And Swift fit right into Kelce’s NFL world, it’s as if she’s always been there.
Her support at that first game — and the 11 others she has attended so far — shows how much she respects his career which Kelce appreciates. “I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man,” he gushed. He’s also learned to handle the crush of paparazzi over the last few months, too. “You know, it’s been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated,” he said. “But I’m having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don’t want to see the Chiefs win.”
Swift has made no secret about how she feels about Kelce and why it’s important for her to be present in his world since he’s obviously a fan of her career. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care…The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone,” she told Time. “And we’re just proud of each other.”
