Katie Holmes is making her impact on New York Fashion Week with one stylish look after the other and her latest appearance might be her best yet.
The actress, 45, along with many other famous attendees, stepped out at Michael Kors’ ready-to-wear show on Feb. 13 to get the first look at the iconic brand’s fall/winter collection but the model’s weren’t the only ones wearing show stooping looks. Holmes looked stunning as she showed of her chic, yet edgy dress sense in a lace, full-length dress.
The mom-of-one was all smiles in the entirely lace, sheer dress with a bodice that was tight to her figure before flowing out into a ruffled hem and cutting off at the ankles. Beneath the lace dress, Holmes wore a simple black bra and high-waisted underwear all worn under a chic blazer.
To lighten up the look, the Dawson’s Creek alum tied everything together with a small white clutch that featured gold hardware and wore white, open-toe heels with semi-sheer pantyhose.
As usual, Holmes kept her makeup on the simple side with a glowing, fresh-faced look though she did add a bold lip to include some color. Her long brunette locks were loosely curled in undone, beachy waves.
Holmes’ A-list companions in the front row at the Michael Kors show included Blake Lively, Gabrielle Union and Nina Dobrev. On the runway, the fashion house showed off sculpted tailoring reminiscent of the 1930s but with the laid-back casual air of today’s fashion.
The show isn’t Holmes’ first event of the week. The Rare Objects director, who is a staple at New York Fashion Week, was also seen at other events including a NYFW kick-off diner hosted by Chanel and the Ulla Johnson fashion show.
Holmes spoke about her personal style and her love of experimenting with her look over the years in an April 2023 interview with Glamour, saying: “I mean, I enjoy the craftsmanship. I enjoy putting things together. And I work with [stylist] Brie Welch, and she’s very detail oriented, and that inspires me. I think it is very creative. I love vintage shopping. I love the art of design.”
