Sure, fans already knew that Joe Manganiello was dating Winning Time actress Caitlin O’Connor, but social media makes this relationship very real now — she made the grid! Of course, the 47-year-old actor made his followers work for the scoop by putting his girlfriend strategically in the last few images.
He was excitedly promoting his upcoming reality competition show, Deal or No Deal Island, and shared snapshots with his favorite pup, Bubbles, but then he gave fans the real story in the caption: “And celebrated Valentine’s Day with Tool & Caitlin… ❤️.” Everyone was probably furiously scrolling to see the adorable snapshot of Manganiello cozied up with O’Connor at the Tool concert in Los Angeles. He looked so happy to be with the 34-year-old actress on the most romantic day of the year.
But the love didn’t stop there as the show-stopping final photo was of O’Connor posing by a huge bouquet of red roses and a heart-shaped chocolates box. It looked like it was a successful day of romance for the dynamic duo, who were first spotted together in September 2023, just two months after the True Blood star announced his divorce from Sofía Vergara. And while the Instagram official status is big news, anyone who has been following Manganiello and O’Connor knows that they made their red-carpet debut in December at Children of Armenia Fund Gala at Cipriani in New York City.
Vergara recently revealed that her split with Manganiello came about because they were on two very different paths in life. She was done with her child-rearing years and he very much wanted to start a family. “Well, I’m newly divorced from my second husband, who I was with for 10 years. My marriage broke up because my husband was younger,” she told El País in January. “He wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom.”
While there were only four years between them, Vergara has an adult son, Manolo, 32, from her marriage to Joe Gonzalez. She’s “ready to be a grandmother, not a mother” and that’s why she and Manganiello couldn’t work past that issue. But seven months after his split from the Modern Family star, Manganiello is indicating that he’s moved on and looking ahead to his future with O’Connor.
