Madonna’s Latest Concert Stumble Proves Just Why She’s the Ultimate Queen of Pop

As a part of any concert with dozens of backup dancers, several outfit changes and an insane number of fans, many things can go wrong. Whether it is wardrobe malfunctions or starting concerts late, major stars like Madonna know how to deal with a hiccup or two.

At her most recent show in Seattle, Washington, for example, the “Like a Virgin” singer took a tumble onstage but quickly recovered and even laughed it off, per Page Six. The moment took place when she was seated on a chair singing “Open Your Heart” when one of her dancers carried her across the stage.

While dragging the chair, however, the dancer tripped and the singer fell to the floor (watch the full video HERE!). Like a true professional, Madonna continued singing while she rolled over to her stomach and stood up to finish the number.

By that time, another singer had joined her onstage for a choreographed chair routine. Looks like the Queen of Pop has earned her title fair and square!

Prior to the chair snafu, Madonna’s tour made headlines earlier this year when the singer was sued by concertgoers for starting her shows later than advertised. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs, who left the venue after 1 am, were then “confronted with limited public transportation, limited ride-sharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs at that late hour.”

“In addition, many ticketholders who attended concerts on a weeknight had to get up early to go to work and/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day,” the complaint continued.

Madonna, however, much like the chair incident, stayed strong and didn’t back down from a fight. “We intend to defend this case vigorously,” Madonna’s management and Live Nation said in a statement on Jan. 24. Looks like the Queen of Pop is no stranger to the ups and downs of touring!
