Meghan Markle’s Return To Podcasting Reportedly Includes a ‘Dynamic’ New Project ‘In the Works’

After some professional setbacks and successes, Meghan Markle seems poised for the next chapter of post-royal life. The Duchess of Sussex is working on a few projects with her husband, Prince Harry, and some independent ventures. Among the latter, Meghan reportedly has a new project in the works that would mark a return to one particular platform.

A few weeks ago, news broke that Meghan signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media, responsible for such shows as Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, The Sarah Silverman Podcast and Hard Feelings with Jeanette McCurdy. Meghan’s podcast is described as “dynamic” by a source who spoke about the deal with Us Weekly, adding that the podcast is already “in the works.”

As for the type of podcast Meghan wants to create, the source said the mother of two “wants to do mostly philanthropic-type content. She considers herself too academic for entertainment-only. She doesn’t want the podcast to be celebrity-driven, though she’ll have some stars on.”

Meghan plans to “do some inner reflecting” on the podcast and plans to “share stories” from her life, the source added. The news comes after Meghan’s deal with Spotify was terminated in June 2023. The platform collaborated with Meghan on her podcast Archetypes, which launched in August 2022.

There’s been a lot of speculation regarding Meghan’s next move as far as her future projects and plans are concerned. Some have already wondered if the Duchess of Sussex plans to enter the lifestyle arena. Regardless, this news may indicate a return to form for Meghan, finding a project and platform to reach out and connect with others.
