Rebecca Ferguson Just Detailed an On-Set Nightmare & an Unexpected A-Lister Is Speaking Out

While we all know a number of co-star feuds over the years, from Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall to Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano, we’re always taken aback when another story pops up. After all, celebrities are pretty good at keeping some aspects of their life quite hush-hush.

Most recently, Dune star Rebecca Ferguson shared a nightmare story with a former co-star (who she chose to remain anonymous) in an appearance at the Reign with Josh Smith podcast. She started by saying she once acted alongside an “absolute idiot of a co-star,” per People.

“I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” she remembered. “And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at.”

Despite the unprofessional behavior, however, she was told to stay quiet because the co-star was “number one on the call sheet.” “There was no safety net for me,” she added.

But, after suffering through more of this person’s unacceptable behavior, Ferguson decided to stand up for herself. “I looked at this person and I said, ‘You can eff off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again,'” Ferguson recalled. “And then I remember the producers came up and said, ‘You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set.'”

“And I did,” she added. “I thought it shouldn’t have to be that way.” Indeed, she should’ve had producers and the director by her side making sure everyone was happy, not just the biggest talent.

“From that moment, I have never let myself get to a point where I’ve got home and gone, ‘Why did that happen?'” the Silo actress added. Kudos to her!

Following her confession, the internet has been buzzing with support for the actress and putting their detective glasses on to find out who it was. And while that question will most likely continue unanswered, one of her former co-stars, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has already taken his name off the list.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls—,” Johnson wrote on X. “Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.” May the search to find out who it was continue!
