As one of the few people in the world to ever achieve EGOT status, Rita Moreno has accomplished more in her career than many people even dream of. So, when it comes to talk show appearances like on the Today Show, the actress isn’t nervous about saying the right thing or showing off, and just lets loose instead.
At her most recent appearance, for example, The Prank star even got flirty with co-host Craig Melvin. “I’m laughing because the last time I was here, I was putting you on, being very sexy with you,” Moreno told Melvin, who was sitting in between co-host Dylan Dreyer and his wife Lindsay Czarniak. “And now this one here, this ringer is here [and] I can’t mess around with you.”
“That’s my wife and my girlfriend,” Craig then said, pointing to both Czarniak and Moreno. “You’re right. It’s a little strange.”
“Now things are awkward,” Czarniak, who’s been married to Melvin since 2011, added. “I’m never awkward,” Moreno jokingly quipped. “So that’s your problem, as far as I’m concerned.”

Keeping the flirting going, Moreno then plucked Dreyer out of her seat and sat right next to Melvin. “Hi, cutie,” she said, as he put his arm around her.
“For folks who don’t know, we have a history,” Melvin added, noting that their flirting days started during an appearance of Moreno in a May 2023 show.
“I wanted to make sure you met my girlfriend,” he then told his wife.
Czarniak, who was totally joining in on the fun, added, “We’ve actually talked about renting him out for weddings because he likes [them] — a lot of fun with my girlfriends back home.”
“The wonderful thing is you actually made him blush,” she told the Oscar winner. “I know, I know,” Moreno said.
“You get a hall pass,” Czarniak told her husband. “Alright, now it’s getting weird,” he replied.
While they were all good sports about it, we can’t help but think how unique of a situation this was. After all, we’re sure this had many viewers cringing at home. But kudos to Moreno for getting her flirt on!
