Oscars night is always a good time for fans to spot Hollywood couples who rarely make an appearance on the red carpet together. Celebrities seem to make an exception this one time of the year because the Oscars are the biggest night in town. This year, Kerry Washington and her press-shy husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, were spotted at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party.

Washington and Asomugha went for a totally glam look and rocked the red carpet with their stunning ensembles. The Scandal star looked elegant and chic in her black strapless Giambattista Valli gown with a tulle skirt that was to-die for. She paired it with a gorgeous diamond choker and earrings while keeping her hair in a dramatic high pony. The former NFL star kept is classic with a perfectly tailored black tuxedo.

What we love about the couple’s post-Oscar night out is how cute they looked together — they were spotted shooting an Instagram-worthy moment at the party. Washington was playing Insta-wife by snapping Asomugha’s GQ-like shot in a mirrored room at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. It makes us hope that the normally private couple shares a small slice of life with us more often — they are one of our favorite Hollywood power couples.

Washington has been so off-the-radar with her romance that fans probably forgot that she shares two children with Asomugha: daughter Isabelle, 10, and son Caleb, 8. The athlete also has a teen daughter from a prior relationship — and so far, her name has stayed out of the press. But fans got to know Washington a little better in her 2023 memoir, Thicker than Water, where she opened up about her life.

You talk to people like my parents who have been married for as long as they’ve been married, I think both are important. I think that first sight thing for me was really important and undeniable, but I think the slow burn is what keeps you going,” she told Drew Barrymore about her marriage to Asomugha during the promotional tour. “We’ve been married 10 years now, so it’s like an immediate with a great slow burn that I hope will keep burning.”

That fire appears to be burning brightly for the couple, who prefer that we know very little about their partnership. We will take whatever morsels they can throw at us because their relationship strategy, which seems very similar to Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, is a winner for them.
