Over the years, Sports Illustrated Swimsuithas provided us with some iconic covers. From the most recent Brittany Mahomes to last year’s Martha Stewart, many of our favorite stars have graced the magazine’s bikini-clad covers. So, of course, the magazine’s 60th Anniversary Issue this May will be nothing less than legendary.
On Instagram, the outlet has already teased some of the previous cover stars who will be making an appearance. In their latest video, models include Paulina Porizkova, Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Winnie Harlow, Kate Upton, Brooklyn Decker, and many others.
“Something big. Something iconic. Something LEGENDARY. 💫” the outlet wrote in the caption of the black and white video. “We’re hitting the rewind button to take a look back at last week’s SI Swimsuit 60th Anniversary Legends Shoot.”
Speaking of the experience in the photoshoot, model Jasmine Sanders talked about being next to such legendary names. “I found myself downstairs watching Tyra Banks literally cut on for the camera, [and] even when she’s not even shooting, just seeing her transform and smize in person is like the most incredible moment and highlight ever,” she told the outlet.
“It’s amazing to be a woman,” she continued. “It’s amazing to be in this room with all of these incredible women who are absolutely legendary, iconic trailblazers. All of these women have really opened up doors and paved ways for all of us. So, to be able to share the stage with them is absolutely incredible.”
