The 47-year-old actor reportedly has babies on the brain and an Us Weekly source is divulging that those major life steps are a priority for the couple. “They’re going to get engaged soon [and then] start trying for kids,” the insider shared. “Marriage is definitely in their future.” Manganiello has only been linked to the 34-year-old Winning Time star since September 2023, but it sounds like their personal goals aligned at the right time. “They respect each other and have a healthy dynamic,” added the source.
During her Griselda press tour, Vergara was straight to the point about why her seven-year marriage to Manganiello ended rather abruptly. “Well, I’m newly divorced from my second husband, who I was with for 10 years. My marriage broke up because my husband was younger,” the 51-year-old star told Spanish newspaper El País in January. “He wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom.” The Modern Family actress was already a mom to son Manolo, 32, from her former marriage to Joe Gonzalez. Vergara was “ready to be a grandmother, not a mother” at this stage of her life.
TMZ reported in February that Manganiello and O’Connor already live together and love being fur-baby parents to his beloved dog, Bubbles. The outlet noted that “they’re very much in love, especially after forging quite a strong bond over their Pittsburgh roots.” And most importantly, they are Instagram official!
Vergara is enjoying her own casual romance with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman, who fits right into list of dating requirements — he’s not in the entertainment industry. “Sofía is falling for Justin the more she spends time with him,” a second source told Us Weekly. “They have amazing chemistry, and her friends think they make a wonderful couple.” It sounds like both Vergara and Manganiello have found the path to happiness in their post-divorce life.
