Earlier this year, everyone was so excited to hear that Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were engaged. While some outlets claimed it happened this year, others say it happened years ago; either way, no one is more excited for them than Martin’s ex-wife and Johnson’s friend, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Sources told Life and Style Mag that while Johnson and Martin are more laid-back about their upcoming nuptials, Paltrow is allegedly going into overdrive to plan their wedding.
“Gwyneth seems more excited about Dakota and Chris’ wedding than they are,” a source told the outlet. “They haven’t even set a wedding date yet. “She’s coming up with all kinds of ideas for the ceremony: color themes, locations, even the guest list!”
There’s always one friend, and we’re sure if Paltrow is doing this as close sources claim, it’s out of love for the two.
And in case you didn’t know about Paltrow and Johnson’s relationship, they’re quite close. “We’re actually very good friends. I love her so much,” Paltrow said in a Q&A on her Instagram story, calling Johnson “an adorable, wonderful person.”
For those who don’t know, the lovebirds started dating in 2017 after being set up by mutual friends, and seven years later, they seem more in love than ever. They didn’t confirm their relationship until a year later, and they moved in together in 2021.
While we don’t know the exact time they got engaged, many sources claim it was years ago, but the two aren’t eager to set a date yet (despite what Paltrow allegedly may want).
