After the Palace announced Kate Middleton’s disappearance from the public eye amid her abdominal surgery, many insiders have claimed that Prince William has gone into overdrive to make her feel better and comfortable. And after announcing her cancer diagnosis, many thought that could be false, especially since he wasn’t in her announcement video. However, it was made clear by quite a few insiders and experts that Kate made the choice to be alone in the video, and as for how William has been caring for her, he’s still reportedly going above and beyond.
A longtime family friend recently told People that Kate has felt very supported by her husband throughout all of this. “He is a very reliable, strong person. She doesn’t feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her,” they said. “This is about supporting her and her feeling supported. It is a joint effort. She doesn’t feel isolated at all. The nuclear family that they have created so well is an immense support not only to him but to Catherine too.”
This sentiment was first reported by Life and Style via Yahoo on Feb 2024, when insiders revealed that “William is constantly propping up cushions and offering her back rubs — so much so that Kate has had to scold him to leave her in peace…Kate’s seen a side of her husband she’d never seen before. She’s impressed with his take-charge attitude during this ordeal and has rated his caretaker skills as a 10 out of 10.”
So there you have it: William continues to be Kate’s doting husband amid reports from close insiders.
For those who don’t know, William and Kate have been together since they met at St. Andrews University. They started dating in 2003, and had an on-again, off-again relationship for some time before marrying in 2011. They later welcomed three children and have been happily together since.
