Even if Melania makes her campaign engagements more frequent that doesn’t mean she’s excited about moving back to the White House if her husband wins the election — she doesn’t even find Mar-a-Lago to be very comfortable since it’s not very private. “Nowadays she is less in view except under very controlled circumstances,” a source told The Times. “She has dinner at Mar-a-Lago but doesn’t mingle and hobnob with people like he does. It’s a safe zone for him. She doesn’t view it as a safe zone.”
Yet Donald Trump knows he needs Melania as his “secret weapon,” especially with female voters who are put off by his ego. She may be able to sway those voters on the fence about who to vote for, even though stepping into the first lady role again isn’t high on her agenda. Melania will support Donald Trump’s political ambitions this time around but with notable boundaries set in place.
