Swift first attended the gala in 2008 but isn’t the most regular attendee and has only gone to the Met Gala six times in total. However, the singer did just release her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, so where could be a better place to celebrate than during fashion’s biggest night?
However, Swift’s ongoing feud with Kim Kardashian might be a good enough reason to avoid the event. The Skims founder is reportedly confirmed to be attending the 2024 Met Gala despite getting called out in one of Swift’s new songs.

So, it looks like May 6 will not be their first red carpet moment either! Swift has famously never walked a red carpet with a boyfriend.
