Potential new power couple alert! After Mariah Carey and her longtime love Bryan Tanaka split up in 2023, many theorized that she could reconnect with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, but inside sources are claiming she has another man in mind: her longtime pal Lenny Kravitz.
“There’s definitely chemistry between them. They’re both single and they’ve been hanging out a lot lately,” the source told Life and Style Mag recently. “They’ve been super close over the years, and they have a lot in common so it’s not surprising that they could have taken their friendship to the next level.”
The source added, “Everyone who knows them personally in the music industry is buzzing about it — and wants it to be true!”
Now, this isn’t the first time these rumors came to the public eye, because these musings started in April 2024, and have only heated up more and more over the past few weeks.
As we said, the two have been pals for years, dating back to when they were both hopeful newbies in the business. They co-starred in the film Precious, hung out at award shows together, and both got nominations for the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame at the same time.
Kravitz even spoke about their friendship in Feb 2024, saying to People, “She was working on her demos. I was working on mine. She worked at a sports bar I used to hang out at. So, it’s extra special to be sharing this night with Mariah.”
Along with Carey splitting from Tanaka in 2023, it seems Kravitz has been single for some time too.
