Jennifer Lopez & Zendaya’s Pre-Met Gala Looks Are Giving Us a Glimpse of What’s To Come Tonight

Happy Met Gala Monday! Finally, the long-awaited date has arrived for us to cuddle up on the couch and enjoy the year’s most fashionable and star-studded night!

Among the stars already confirmed for the event are, of course, this year’s co-chairsJennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth. So, we can’t help but look at everything they’ve been wearing lately to see what they’ll bring to the carpet.

On May 5, for example, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour invited the four lucky co-chairs for a pre-Met Gala dinner at her house, per Daily Mail. By just looking at Zendaya and Lopez’s looks, it seems we already know the direction they’re going for with their outfits.

At the dinner, Marry Me star Lopez wore a strapless black velvet Diana Qerimi dress with a jewel-decorated skirt. Lopez accessorized the look with a black Tyler Ellis bag, matching Casadei shoes and Yeprem jewelry.

If you ask us, our bets are that Lopez will be going for a sexy and modern look that’s ultra-glamorous on the Met steps tonight.

“You’ll have to tune in to see,” Lopez said of her look on Good Morning America, per People. “But it’s exciting, it’s exciting. It’s a fun night for fashion.”

Lopez also hinted that breathing in her look will be “barely” possible. “The Met Gala looks are not about comfort,” she added. Form-fitting indeed!

Zendaya’s look for the pre-Met Gala dinner, on the other hand, embodied a very different vibe. The actress wore a midi white lace vintage John Galliano dress from the brand’s SS98 RTW collection. The neckline is accented with pink flowers, butterflies and a pink bow in the center.

To accessorize, the Challengers star wore white pointed heels and Bulgari jewelry.

From this look, we can guess that Zendaya’s look tonight will either be another gorgeous vintage piece or will surely pay homage to fashion history. After all, Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach are known for pushing the boundaries at the Met Gala.

A few days ago, Roach told The New York Times that the actress’ look was a tad behind schedule. “I haven’t seen Zendaya’s dress!” the celebrity stylist admitted. “We’ve been on two press tours — Dune Part 2 and Challengers — and doing two Vogue covers. The dress isn’t even made. They won’t fit until Saturday.”

With just hours remaining, we’re at the edge of our seats (or couches) to see what they come up with!
