The first photos of Kim Kardashian‘s Met Gala look are here and we cannot get enough of her look.
Kardashian, 42, has been a Met Gala staple since attending her first ever one in 2013. At the time, the star attended as Kanye West’s plus one and was pregnant with their first child, North West. While her Givenchy maternity gown for the “Punk: Chaos to Couture” theme was the subject of much conversation, Kardashian has consistently proved that she understands the Met Gala assignment every year.
2024 was no different as Kardashian stepped out for this year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The dress code for 2024 is “The Garden of Time.”

Kardashian wore custom Maison Margiela Couture that consisted of a mesmerizing silver gown with leaf-shaped chainmail and a gray shawl. The look showed off Kardashian’s curves. For hair, she kept it simple with her bleach blonde looks falling over her shoulders.
In 2023, Kardashian opted for a figure-hugging corset look, draped in 50,000 pearls when she wore a couture creation by Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli to celebrate the theme of that year, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
But some of her other, most-talked about looks have to be her Thierry Mugler wet look dress at the 2019 Met Gala, her totally-covered up Balenciaga look at the 2021 Met Gala and, of course, her 2022 entrance in a stunning archival gown famously worn by Marilyn Monroe when she performed at John F. Kennedy’s birthday party.
This year, Kardashian is joining many A-listers at the Met Gala, including celebrity co-chairs Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny. The theme of the evening was chosen to celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The exhibit celebrates stunning pieces throughout history, some of which are two delicate to be worn again, and celebrates the renewal and revival of fashion over the years.
