Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s schedules are full. She’s currently on the European leg of her Eras Tour with a second set of events in North America in the fall. He will be starting off-season workouts beginning May 20 and will join his girlfriend whenever he can during his breaks. On top of that, Kelce recently signed a four-year extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he has set his sights on Hollywood for the next chapter of his career.
The NFL athlete’s contract will keep him in Kansas until 2027, but what does his life look like after that? Well, he gave major hints during an interview with E! News at Kelce Jam in Bonner Springs, Kansas over the weekend. Let’s just say, his recent role in Ryan Murphy’s next show, Grotesquerie with Niecy Nash Betts isn’t a one-time goal for him. Kelce is keeping his dream list of actors to work with a secret, but he did hint that he’s “big in comedy, and who knows what comes in the future?”
Hollywood is comparing him to John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who transitioned seamlessly from the WWE careers to Hollywood, but Kelce doesn’t want anyone to get that idea in their heads yet — he still has to prove his talents on the big and small screen. “I’m still trying to figure out if I’m any good at it,” he joked. However, the entertainment industry is clamoring to work with him after his successful turn on SNL in March 2023, and Amazon Prime has already banked him as a host for their game show spinoff, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?
Kelce has two high-powered managers, André and Aaron Eanes, who have been carefully curating his career before Swift ever entered the picture. “People say to me, ‘Man, it’s been a crazy year,’” Aaron told The New York Times in January. “When I say, ‘Actually, it’s not that crazy,’ people look at me funny. It’s because it’s easy when you have a plan. We’re executing that plan.” With an even brighter star wattage thanks to his girlfriend’s superstardom, the couple could take their romance from the East Coast to Tinsel Town once his playing days are over.
His team’s long-term goal is “to continue to evolve what [Kelce’s] image is and stay current but still remain elevated.” With Swift by his side, the duo could become one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples if they relocate to the West Coast in the future — and it could happen. “We positioned Travis to be world-famous,” André summed up. “We didn’t know how it would happen, or when it would happen, or what would help push that further along. But it’s always been the thought in the back of our minds.”
