It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, Heather Rae El Moussa and Christina Hall were at odds with each other. Fans remember the showdown on the soccer field like it was yesterday. Fast forward to 2024, and the blended family is on the right path — and it seems to be their new HGTV show, The Flip Off, is bringing their friendship to new heights.
Heather is married to Hall’s ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and Christina is married to realtor Josh Hall. The two couples will be facing off “to see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain” while promising plenty of “flipping drama,” according to an HGTV press release. Heather Rae and Christina teased the new show in an Instagram post that played off the public perception that they look identical — and let’s just say that Tarek has a type. This playful attitude and Heather Rae’s revelation to Today that she and Christina are “in a good place” and “having fun together” speaks volumes because it wasn’t always like this.
In May 2022, the Daily Mail captured snapshots of the foursome in a heated exchange while at a children’s soccer game. The verbal fight looked like it started between Heather Rae and Christina while Tarek tried to remove his wife from the situation. The spat had a second chapter when Josh, Tarek, and Heather continued until it was broken up by a soccer coach. Christina’s representative issued a statement to Us Weekly at the time, downplaying the incident. “A personal matter was discussed and has since been resolved. We are focused on co-parenting as a team moving forward,” the statement read.
The relationship between Heather Rae and Christina is so good now that the former Selling Sunset star divulged that they went out for a gals’ night alone recently — no husbands allowed. “We talked about the show and our kids and life,” she said to Today. Tarek and Christina share a daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8. Christina also has a son, Hudson, 4, from her brief marriage to Ant Instead, and Heather Rae has a son, Tristan, 1, with Tarek. It’s a big, blended family, and they’ve finally found their groove together — both professionally and personally.
