Ivanka Trump’s Subtle Post for Donald Trump Shows Where She Stands After Guilty Verdict

Ivanka Trump didn’t show up during Donald Trump‘s hush money trial in New York City, but she did throw her dad some support after the guilty verdict on Thursday. The shoutout is only temporary though, since she sent out the message on Instagram Story which only lasts for 24 hours.

The Miami socialite shared a throwback image with her dad from her childhood. Ivanka is sitting in her dad’s lap, wearing a pink paper birthday hat and a blue jumper. (You can see the photo HERE.) The former president wore a white polo shirt and his signature comb-over. The message on the photo simply said, “I love you dad” with a heart emoji. That’s the only statement she made while Donald Trump battled his legal issues, her brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump did make appearances in the Manhattan courtroom during the trial.

Donald Trump now faces up to four years in prison for being found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records associated with the payoff and coverup of his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. He will likely appeal the verdict and still run for president, but Ivanka, who stepped away from politics in 2022, is reportedly mulling a return. The 42-year-old daughter of Donald Trump apparently thinks that Melania Trump’s reticence to become the first lady again could be an opening for her.

“She thinks that Melania won’t go to the White House or that there’s a strong chance that she’ll just stay at Mar-a-Lago,” claimed Puck News‘ Tara Palmeri on the May 7 episode of The Powers That Be podcast. “That would kind of open up this opportunity for Ivanka to be the hostess of the White House,” Palmeri who spoke with Trump insiders, revealed the reasons behind Ivanka’s change of heart. “After a longstanding position of ruling it out, she’s more open to it,” a source told Puck News in the original report. “It’s getting more real, it’s revving up.”

Ivanka and Jared Kushner’s representative continues to downplay her involvement in her father’s upcoming campaign, though. “As they’ve both repeatedly stated, Ivanka and Jared continue to focus on their family and lives in the private sector and do not intend to go back to politics,” they told the media outlet. With only about five months to go in the presidential race, and Donald Trump’s sentencing ahead, it’s hard to predict how everything will shake out, but Ivanka is testing the waters.
