According to most people, Travis Kelce has one title: he’s the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. For him, however, nothing is stopping him from stacking up more.
In addition to recently signing up to be the host of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, the NFL star also joined the cast of Ryan Murphy’s new season of American Horror Story and is already proving he’s not done with his entertainment ventures just yet.
In a new episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce talked to his brother Jason Kelce about the rumor he’s joining the cast of Adam Sandler‘s upcoming sequel, Happy Gilmore 2, per Us Weekly.
“Man, I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2,” Kelce said, adding that he’s a “huge fan of the Sandman” and would love to be invited.
“I’ll be a f— extra… anything to get around Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” he added.
And while that rumor may be false, it seems Kelce is already looking to make his feature film debut. “I’m looking for movie deals,” Kelce said.
“Who knows? Theories can come true,” he teased. “Theories can be true and people just don’t know about it. I might even be in the talking and nobody knows about it, but I could also not be in the talking.”
“I’ll do anything in the movie,” he then completed. “I’ll be part of it any way I possibly can.”
As a reminder, Netflix confirmed the sequel to the 1996 comedy earlier this month on May 15. “It’s been almost 30 years since we last saw Happy Gilmore, the long-driving hero who won in the Tour Championship in 1996,” the statement from the platform read. “Now, we finally get to catch up with him in a new sequel. That’s right, Adam Sandler is returning to the golf green as Happy Gilmore, and he’s bringing his powerful slap shot with him. No word on any alligators.”
Specific dates and casting decisions have yet to be revealed. So, does Kelce have a chance? We surely think so!
