Over the years, fans of Outlander have gotten to know the show’s leading man Sam Heughan. And while his charming ways might be what stands out the most, it seems Heughan’s love for Taylor Swift is quite important to him too.
In a new video to Instagram, Heughan, who’s all dressed up as Jamie Fraser while filming season 8 of the show, talks about how excited he is about Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour concert in Scotland.
“We’re gonna go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland and I think most of the cast is going,” Heughan said, all giddy.
He then revealed his masterful plan to have Swift second-guessing her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. “She obviously doesn’t know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she’s gonna forget all about him and fall for a man in a ginger wig,” Heughan said. “How could she resist?”
“You know, she’s gonna shake him off and take me out instead,” Heughan said, referring to one of Swift’s most famous songs, “Shake It Off.” “I’m really excited.”
“Welcome to Scotland Taylor! 🏴” the actor wrote in the caption. “JAMMF is a Swiftie 🫶.”
In the comments, fans of Heughan are celebrating his plan, showing that Heughan’s charms may indeed be hard to resist.
“I love it when famous people are fans of other famous people. We are all just human after all,” commented one user. “I hope you get to meet her in person, Sam. Either way; ENJOY!! 😍”

As a reminder, Heughan’s hit time-traveling show just recently announced the premiere date for season 7, part 2. Outlander will be returning to our screens on November 22 on Starz for 8 episodes that will run through 2025. So while we can’t wait to see Jamie and Claire grace our TVs again, one night at a Taylor Swift concert can’t hurt, right?
