In 2022, the 43-year-old entrepreneur revealed that her eldest daughter Maxwell, 12, was besties with Kim’s daughter, North, 11. That bond should have brought Jessica together with Kim, but it seems that there’s a disconnect in their friendship.
“Jessica lives in the same neighborhood as Kim and at one point they were starting to get really friendly, but she was hoping it would go a lot further than it has,” an insider told . “She feels like she really hasn’t been let into the circle and it’s kind of frustrating for her since she’s tried so hard.” Besides her siblings, Kim counts Ivanka Trump, Lauren Sánchez, and Kimora Lee Simmons as a part of her inner circle, and they were front and center for her 43rd birthday last fall.
The source seems to think that the SKIMS founder has “her sights set on hanging with this new high-roller crowd that Jessica wouldn’t really fit in with.” The singer made efforts to socialize with Kim’s old friends and “even tried hiring the same people they do,” but she’s had no luck becoming closer to the reality icon. Just two years ago, she excited told Us Weekly about Maxwell and North’s blossoming friendship after they were on the same basketball team coached by her husband, Eric Johnson.
“One of Maxwell’s best friends is North,” Jessica said. “She is amazing.
