Before former US President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter, when it was Twitter and not X, he tweeted about a lot of things, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s old relationship and even royal news. However, there was one tweet that was so controversial that it even made Prince William “furious.”
In Robert Jobson’s upcoming book, Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen via OK, Donald once tweeted about an incident that had to do with Catherine, the Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton.
Back in 2012, photos of Kate sunbathing were published, but they were highly controversial (and illegal) because they published topless photos of her while she was vacationing in Provence, France, with William.
Per CNN, a French court ruled that it was an invasion of privacy, and both Kate and William were awarded around $53,000 each.
But at the time, everyone had an opinion about it, including Trump, who tweeted his two cents.
“William was reportedly furious when Donald Trump tweeted, ‘Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude – only herself to blame. Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing? Come on Kate!'”
And as Jobson claims, William was furious. Now, this actually isn’t the only book to claim this, because in The King: The Life of Charles III by Christopher Andersen; Anderson alleged that Charles and Prince William erupted into “torrents of profanity.”
