How Charlie Sheen’s Ex Brooke Mueller Played a Role in Matthew Perry Drug Case

Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife Brooke Mueller found herself connected to the investigation into the death of Matthew Perry. Some reports thought she was a possible suspect in the case, but it seems that she was a crucial part of helping detectives arrest the five people who reportedly were connected to the case.

Mueller, who was a longtime pal of the Friends star from one of their stints in rehab, was also familiar with Jasveen Sangha aka “The Ketamine Queen.” Sangha was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 16 because she allegedly sold Perry 50 vials of ketamine for $11,000, which resulted in his death from the acute effects of the drug on Oct. 28, 2023. She ran a “drug-selling emporium” according to U.S. Atty. Martín Estrada, via the Los Angeles Times.

Sheen’s ex was also close to Erik Fleming who was what TMZ described as the “drug broker” between Sangha and the 54-year-old actor’s longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. Mueller’s laptop and phone were a part of a search warrant in March with investigators looking for more information from her. She was not arrested in the Perry sting, she did not testify in front of the grand jury, nor was she granted immunity, per the media outlet. TMZ‘s sources say she “cooperated with authorities” and was a key part in getting Fleming arrested.

TMZ’s assessment of the situation lines up with the information an In Touch Weekly source shared in June. They revealed that Mueller was “tight-lipped about the situation, but her iPhone and laptop have been seized by authorities.” The insider added that while she was an active part of the investigation, she was “completely cooperative” and had “hired lawyers” to make sure she was protected. “It’s tough to say or know exactly what her role is [in Matthew’s death], but she’s adamant she had nothing to do with that,” they said.

There will likely be more information forthcoming as the trials of the five suspects reveal how their alleged actions might have caused Perry’s death. Mueller isn’t a part of the reported crimes, but she might have to step up and testify against Sangha and Fleming — it could be a long road ahead.
