Jon Bon Jovi Saved a Woman’s Life While Filming a Music Video & Fans Are in Awe

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Jon Bon Jovi was in the right place at the right time to help a woman in need.

In a video shared by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the “Blaze of Glory” singer and his team approached a woman at the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville, Tennessee, as she stood on the ledge of the bridge overlooking the Cumberland River.

Seeing that the woman was going through a tough time, Bon Jovi approached her slowly and cautiously and began talking to her as she stood on the ledge.

Eventually, with the help of a member of his team, Bon Jovi convinced the woman to go back to the safe side of the bridge and helped her jump back to the other side. After more talking, Bon Jovi gave the woman a sweet hug and continued chatting with her until the end of the two-minute video. From the looks of it, the singer was taking his time to make sure she was well and feeling supported before going back to filming his music video.

“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” MNPD Chief John Drake said in a brief statement of the moment on X.

All over social media, fans are applauding Bon Jovi’s selfless act of kindness. “This moved me to tears,” wrote one user on X. “In a time of such division and hardship, I can truly feel the love in his actions. Well done, @jonbonjovi. A beautiful example of empathy and kindness.”

“Kudos to Bon Jovi. In all honesty, if I was about to jump off a bridge and Bon Jovi showed up, I would maybe think God was telling me something,” wrote another user. “What a great guy he [is]. 🥰”

For longtime fans of Bon Jovi, his heroic moment is far from a surprise, after all, he’s been passionate about helping others through his foundation, the JBJ Soul Foundation, since 2006.

“It is the organization’s goal to recognize and maximize the human potential in those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness by offering assistance in establishing programs that provide food and affordable housing while supporting social services and job training programs,” the official website reads.

Kudos to Bon Jovi for giving a helping hand was a stranger needed him the most. A true hero!
