Tyler Perry premieres ‘Meet the Browns’

Tyler Perry has been on one of the great shots to fame of recent memory. His “Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” debuts today.

Based on his theatrical production, “Meet the Browns” stars Angela Bassett and an ensemble cast in a touching story of love and family and all the baggage that goes along with it.

The film is one of the most anticipated of the spring movie season.

Over the summer, Perry had a huge hit with Janet Jackson’s return to film with “Why Did I Get Married?”

He is proving to be non-stop entertainment machine. Perry’s dominates the television with his TBS hit “House of Payne” and its unheard of 100-episode order.

Perry began his ascent to pop culture mainstay with his hilariously touching “Diary of a Mad Black Woman.” The film is where Perry introduced the world to the iconic character of his career, Madea. The grandmother with attitude charmed audiences and has made appearances in several of Perry’s following films, including his current, “Meet the Browns.”

Where the Atlanta-based Perry goes from here is looking like gold. No matter what direction his career takes him in, it is clear from this critic that Perry will land on Oscar’s stage one of these days as a screenwriter, director, actor…or all three!
