It is a big night of season finales, season premieres and Paris Hilton visits blue-collar America.
Tonight on TV
NBC should take the 8:00 slot when Paris Hilton guests on “My Name is Earl,” followed by four old episodes of “The Office.”
ABC begins with the finale two episodes of their new comedy “Miss Guided,” this is followed by a rerun of “Lost” and a new “Eli Stone.”
CBS is all new with “Survivor,” and the return of “CSI” and “Without a Trace.”
Fox spend the whole night on an extended version of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.” (Really.)
While The CW sets right its Thursday line-up with “Smallville” and a rerun of “Supernatural.”
Best bet on television for later in the evening is over at Bravo with the finale of “Make Me a Supermodel” (I’m voting for Perry!) and the premiere of “Step it Up and Dance” at 11:00. Odd time for a season premiere, but it’s Bravo and it’ll air a million more times during the week.
News and notable
— TVGuide is reporting a real shocker. Looks like the creative team behind Smallville is calling it quits. No, the show hasn’t been canceled but the showrunners are walking away. That’s never a good sign.
— Get your bikini out of the closet, E! has renewed Sunset Tan.
— Sundance Channel has seven new shows in development including one devoted the the process of Toy Design. Sounds cool to me!
— ABC has signed Molly Ringwald to star in a new series while “Grey’s” star Chandra Wilson is headed to Hallmark for a TV movie about the homeless.
