Jay-Z and Beyonce may not be speaking a word about their did-they-or-didn’t-they wedding, but the legal papers are doing it for them.
Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling told People that the couple’s marriage license was filed on Friday, listing the wedding date as April 4.
The paper was filed well past the five-day deadline, but the town is waiving the penalty. Think of it as a little wedding gift.
The couple applied for the license in person at the tony town clerk’s office just three days before the nuptials. The day of the wedding a large tent was erected on the roof of Jay-Z’s Manhattan apartment building, and guests like Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child pals Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and good friend Gwyneth Paltrow were seen entering the festivities.
Beyonce was seen flashing a huge diamond on her left hand a few days later at her hubby’s concert with Mary J. Blige in Atlanta.
Jay-Z has not been spotted wearing a ring of any sort, and evaded wedding questions outside of his 40/40 Club.
Why is the couple keeping so mum? They could just enjoy their privacy, but that’s doubtful. They have received major publicity from all the speculation — and perhaps they sold the pics? One can only hope — we want to see her gown!
