Ethan Hawke marries the nanny

Ethan Hawke married girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes three weeks ago in a secret civil ceremony, according to the actor’s rep.

“They were married last month in New York City,” said Hawke’s rep, Mara Buxbaum. “No further details are available.”Shawhughes is pregnant with the couple’s first child, said to be a girl. Hawk, best known for his turns in “Reality Bites” and “Before Sunrise,” has two children with former wife Uma Thurman.Interestingly, Hawke and Shawhughes met when she was the nanny for the Thurman-Hawk family, pre-divorce. The couple, of course, says their relationship did not start until after the proceedings. Hawke and Thurman divorced after seven years of marriage amidst allegations that Hawke cheated on Thurman with another actress on the set of one of his films. Uma Thurman announced her own engagement to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad “Arki” Busson several weeks ago.
