The film captured the songs impeccably and brought them to a new audience. Mamma Mia! from beginning to end is a film to treasure and if you haven’t seen it, run, don’t walk to see it.
Five weeks after the CD hit stores it sits as the number one album in the country. In the last week alone, Mamma Mia: The Movie Soundtrack sold over 130,000 copies. It is the feel good hit of the summer. The pop album charts is not Mamma Mia’s only number one this week.
The album is also the top record on the Internet Album and Soundtrack charts.
Having Mamma Mia hit number one on the album charts is also great news for fans of ABBA. In their entire career, the highest they charted in America was number fourteen.
