Heath Ledger’s daughter gets big paycheck from Depp, Law and Farrell

The film that Heath Ledger was working on when he died had to hire three stars to replace him for the final shoots because of his long acting shadow. Now news has come from the set of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus that actors Colin Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude Law will donate all of their earnings to Ledger’s daughter Matilda.

Ledger was midway through the filming process when he died of an accidental overdose in January. Director Terry Gilliam had his film saved by the acting trio who stepped in out of deep respect for Ledger’s work.

Gilliam is a wildly imaginative filmmaker whose credits include being a veteran of Monty Python and then going on to becoming a directing force. His camera has produced Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 12 Monkeys and the Ledger-starring Brothers Grimm.

Having him work with Ledger was a film lover’s fantasy and then tragedy struck. The fact that audiences get to witness Farrell, Depp and Law share a screen with Ledger in his final moments on film directed by the master Gilliam, should make The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus one of the most anticipated films when it premieres.

The fact that Ledger’s daughter will reap the benefit of the salaries of stars of Depp, Law and Farrell, stars known to command a pretty penny, can only enhance the magical effort that was put together to finish this film amid shocking tragedy.
