David Duchovny and wife Tea Leoni announced their separation October 16 – and now his tennis instructor tells us why.
Twenty-eight-year-old Edit Pakay, Duchovny’s $200-per-hour tennis instructor, says the couple are “very close friends” and refuses to deny an affair with the actor.
Pakay told The Mail On Sunday, “We have a very, very close friendship. I don’t want to be the third person in the marriage but I know it can be seen that way,” Pakay says.
“David and I are very close friends and we still play tennis together. He’s an excellent player. He likes physically strong, fit women,” she continues.
“He is in great shape. He is a wonderful man. He’s a very intelligent, very kind and good man.”
When asked directly if the two had or are having a sexual dalliance, Pakay responded, “I don’t want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it. I don’t know what our relationship means to him.”
A spokesperson for Duchovny responded to the allegations, “There is no romantic relationship and never has been.”
As for Pakay? “If you want to write that we have an affair then fine. I will not argue against it. ‘Nor will David. But he cannot talk about it because he is going through a divorce and nor can I. It is a very difficult time. I am sure you will appreciate that.'”
