Sarah Palin draws big ratings for SNL

Sarah Palin and Tina Fey appearing together, however briefly, on Saturday Night Live October 18 brought the long-running show its best ratings in 14 years.

Palin pokes fun at herself

We’ve got your video of the ‘trying-to-be-VP’s’ performance. Don’t miss the second Palin visit of the night with a rapping Amy Poehler and a moose!

Palin and Fey appeared onscreen together only for a brief moment, with Fey walking past Palin doing a brief double-take.

During the first half hour of the show, during the Palin-Fey skit, the audience was estimated at approximately 17 million viewers – at midnight.

That is unheard of!

Palin said she had a blast filming her spot. “I would do that again in a heartbeat,” she said.

“It was the most welcoming and friendly environment that you could imagine. Everyone was so nice, and you know, you have to have a sense of humor through all of this. You have to have some levity through this. Otherwise, it would really, I think, grind on you and wear you out.”

The Alaska governor and Republican Vice Presidential nominee also appeared during Weekend Update, keeping the beat while Amy Poehler rapped for her.

Don’t miss the moose!
